Common problems

Check here first. Most problems are one setting, and fixing it yourself is faster than waiting for a reply. If none of these fixes it, contact support and say which checks you've already done.

Aphna Builder

The settings are greyed out. Tick the disclaimer at the top of the settings.

The Data Window numbers look wrong or keep changing. Move your cursor past the last candle on the chart. The Data Window shows the candle under your cursor.

The figures differ from last time I looked. New candles have arrived, so the test period has moved forward. Small changes day to day are normal.

My settings disappeared. Settings belong to the chart layout. Check you opened the right layout, and that it was saved.

Aphna Search

The APHNA button isn't there.

  1. You must be using TradingView in Chrome, not the desktop app.
  2. Check the tool is switched on at chrome://extensions.
  3. Refresh the TradingView page (F5).

It says two Aphna Builders are on the chart. Remove one. The search works with exactly one.

The button is amber and says RESTORE. A search was interrupted. Open the panel and click Put my settings back.

Aphna Live and alerts

No trade happened when the chart showed a signal. Check, in this order:

  1. Is there an alert? Open the Alerts panel. It must exist and be active, not stopped or expired.
  2. Was the alert created after your last settings change? If not, delete it and create it again.
  3. Is the alert's condition "Any alert() function call"?
  4. Is the webhook address exactly as shown in your Aphna dashboard?
  5. Did a trading rule block it? No new trades are opened near high-impact news, on NFP day (or in its window), or between 21:00 and 23:00 UK time. That's the rules working, not a fault.

Live trades don't match the builder. Compare every Aphna Live setting with Aphna Builder, one by one. Also check both are on the same symbol, the same data provider and the same timeframe.

MetaTrader 4/5 route

The EA isn't placing trades.

  1. AutoTrading button green?
  2. The EA's chart shows the Aphna EA panel, and the EA's name at the top right of the chart isn't greyed out or crossed?
  3. AccountID in the EA settings is your MetaTrader account number, the same one as in Aphna Live?
  4. Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → Allow WebRequest lists the server address?
  5. Market Watch → right-click → Show All done?
  6. Is MetaTrader actually running? On a VPS, log in and check.

Trade opened, but on the wrong symbol or not at all. The Broker symbol name in Aphna Live must be exactly your broker's name for it, as shown in Market Watch.

Trade opened on MetaTrader but not on the prop firm account. That's the copier: check Traders Connect's own help centre, https://help.tradersconnect.com, and its support.

cTrader route (Aphna Link)

Trades stopped arriving. Open your Aphna dashboard. If your account shows disconnected, link it again. cTrader access can expire, and re-linking takes a minute.

Trade refused: symbol not found. The Broker symbol name must match your cTrader account exactly, for example US100.cash on FTMO, not USTEC.
